2000 World Titles
The provincial waveski associations in South Africa are running local trial series and Open Trials in preparation for the National trials for the International Tag Team event to be held during the 2000 World Series to be held in South Africa during June and July. |
The annual Western Province Open Championships, this year sponsored by WP's sponsor FISHMONGER of Claremont and BIRKENHEAD PREMIUM LAGER of Stanford, took place at Cemetery Beach on the False Bay coast. Day 1 - 1st April 2000
Day 2 - 2nd April The
south-easterly conditions finally departed from the scene to be replaced by
light north-westerly winds, ruining any Dave Kennett, WP Chairman, representing the sponsors, FISHMONGERS of Claremont, presented the top riders with cash prizes. Division winners were presented with gift vouchers and gift packs of BIRKENHEAD PREMIUM LAGER. A lucky-draw of gift-vouchers spot-prizes were drawn.
